The latest version of XWallet has integrated Google Authenticator (GA) service to add extra layer of your account security.
GA is a dynamic password tool that Google built to provide users with stronger security. After you successfully added your XWallet account to the GA app, GA will generate a One-Time Password (OTP) every 30 seconds. This code can be used in login, transfer and change the login password to achieve maximum security for your XWallet account.
To add your XWallet account to GA app, kindly refer to the steps as follows:
Step 1) Download and open GA on your mobile phone (iOS Users: Apple App Store / Android Users: Google Play);
Step 2) Log into your XWallet account;
Step 3) Go to “User” tab > “Settings” > “Security” > “Google Authenticator” to get started;
Step 4) Get the GA code for your XWallet account.
Click ‘Send’ to receive the verification code from the email address and SMS registered in your XWallet account.
After entering the verification codes, you can see the QR code and 16-character key for GA. Please make sure the key is kept safe and secure. If you lost your phone, you will need this particular key to enable GA in XWallet again. Please also note that Pundi X is not able to recover your GA key.
Step 5) Open the GA app on your mobile device, click the “+” icon and choose “Scan a barcode” or “Enter a provided key” to manually input the 16-character key; You can add the account name as ‘XWallet’ when manually input the key.
Step 6) Go to your XWallet and input the 6-digit GA Code (Please note that the GA Code will be expired every 30 seconds); Click the “Confirm” button to complete the verification process.
Step 7) Congratulations! GA is now successfully enabled on your XWallet account.
After you have successfully set it up, a GA code (the 6-digit code) will be required for each login or security action.
To protect your account safe, please do not share the verification codes or password with anyone. Always stay alert and stay safe.
